All Well With Chief

Well Chief has suffered no ill effects from his second-fence fall in the Seasons Holidays Queen Mother Champion Chase at Cheltenham on Wednesday.

The David Pipe-trained eight-year-old made an uncharacteristic error early on in the race and ended up on the floor having been sent off the well-backed even-money favourite.

His owner David Johnson said: 'He is fine, all things considered. He came out of the race unscathed and the only thing damaged really was pride.

'Where he goes next will depend on the ground, but he will maybe go to Liverpool if we do get some decent ground.'
