Alpha Ready For RSA Test

Mouse Morris reports Alpha Des Obeaux to be back in rude health ahead of the RSA Chase at Cheltenham on Wednesday week.

Morris revealed there had been no recurrence of the burst blood vessel that caused the seven-year-old to disappoint in the Grade One Neville Hotels Novice Chase at Leopardstown in December and is looking forward to the race.

"He had a bit if a hiccup at Christmas, but he's been well since and we hope for the best," Morris told At The Races.

"Hopefully it was a one-off. He's not what you'd call a bleeder. Maybe he had a cold or a bug of some sort, but he hasn't done it since.

"I'm not too worried about the ground. He's so much stronger now. He used to be wanting good ground, but I'd say whatever comes we'll take."
