Day two of Bellewstown’s 300th anniversary fixture got under way as planned on Wednesday – only to later be abandoned, just as the opening afternoon had been on Tuesday.

Dylan Browne McMonagle was reported to be in good spirits on Wednesday after the fall at Bellewstown on Tuesday that saw him taken to hospital.

Jockey Danny Mullins completed a double on the evening when partnering the Ken Budds trained Crypto Crash to win Division l of the John Purfield Memorial Handicap Hurdle at Bellewstown.
