Armageddon Doubtful For Festival
Our Armageddon, ante-post favourite for Thursday's Racing Post Plate, could miss the Cheltenham Festival after suffering a setback.
The nine-year-old cemented his position at the head of the market for the two-mile-five-furlong contest with victory in the Singer & Friedlander at Uttoxeter last month.
However, Peter Gorvin, representing trainer Richard Guest, said: 'Our Armageddon has rapped himself and is a likely non-runner at Cheltenham,
'He just did it in training and we're in a race against time now to get him ready.
'Every effort will be made to get him there but we just thought it best to let people know.'
Our Armageddon was as low as 6-1 with Ladbrokes to register another Festival success after his victory in the 2004 Cathcart Challenge Cup Chase.
