Etoile Fine After Arkle Spill

Accordion Etoile is set for a week on the easy list after crashing out at the eighth fence in the Irish Independent Arkle Challenge Trophy at Cheltenham.

The seven-year-old seemed to be travelling well when coming to grief after misjudging a fence down the back straight.

Trainer Paul Nolan reports the Accordion gelding to be in good shape after that tumble, but will still bypass an alternative engagement in today's Queen Mother Champion Chase.

'It looked a bad fall but he seems well enough this morning,' said Nolan.

'I didn't want to take a chance on running him today as we had everything to lose if we ran him and he was just feeling something.

'We just give him a check over and let him relax for a week, then we'll see how he is when we start riding him again before maybe taking a look at Aintree, Fairyhouse or Punchestown.'
