Lucan Racing sponsor National Trial at Naas

Naas Racecourse today announced an exciting addition to its National Hunt programme with the ?50,000 Lucan Racing Leinster National, an Irish Grand National Trial to be run on Sunday March 8.

Sponsors Lucan Racing will also offer an eye-catching bonus of a further ?50,000 to the winning connections if their horse goes on to win the Powers Whiskey Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse on Easter Monday, April 13.

Naas racecourse manager Tom Ryan said, 'Working with our new sponsors and Shane Doyle of HRI we identified a gap in the programme for highly rated three mile chasers.'

'This is the perfect prep race for the spring targets many of them have, especially the Powers Whiskey Irish Grand National. It will be run the Sunday before Cheltenham which is traditionally a very popular meeting here.'
