Mohaison pleases in workout

Cheltenham Gold Cup entry Star De Mohaison delighted connections in a workout at Wincanton on Friday morning - although his next target is undecided.

The 2006 Royal & SunAlliance Chase winner returned from injury to finish third in a handicap hurdle at Cheltenham on New Year´s Day and is as low as 25-1 for next Friday´s blue-riband event.

The seven-year-old worked two miles under Barry Geraghty at the Somerset track and although everything went according to plan, trainer Paul Nicholls has yet to decide where he will head next.

The champion trainer told Teletext: "Star De Mohaison had a workout at Wincanton this morning and everything went very well.

"He worked with another horse of mine called Poquelin, who runs in the County Hurdle, and had a good blow-out.

"Barry Simpson (racing manager to owner Sir Robert Ogden) was there watching and we will all have to sit down now and decide where we are going to go."
