Patient King Does It His Way
Alan King has urged punters to hold their bets regarding My Way De Solzen's Cheltenham Festival target.
The 2006 World Hurdle winner will run in either the Irish Independent Arkle Trophy or the Ryanair Chase but a decision will not be made until nearer the time.
'The ground will be the deciding factor,' explained King.
'If it's soft ground he will go for the Arkle and if it dries up he will go for the Ryanair.
'The SunAlliance is completely out of the picture now though.'
King's string are back in top form again after a quiet spell last month.
However, the Barbury Castle handler played down suggestions anything was actually wrong with his team.
'People were saying we were quiet at the end of January and in February but in a lot of cases it was the lesser lights that were running,' he told At The Races.
'I think we ran 15 horses and about 10 of them were second or third.
'I really don't know where My Way will end up yet though and there is no point me saying something now and changing my mind next week.
'Robert (Thornton) schooled him and he jumped six fences ? I couldn't be happier with him.'
My Way De Solzen is a 6-1 chance for the Arkle and 11-2 for the Ryanair Chase.
