Simon Bypasses Triumph
Thierry Doumen has confirmed that Good Bye Simon will miss the JCB Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
The four-year-old won the Grade One Finale Hurdle at Chepstow earlier in the season and was last seen when finishing second in a Cheltenham Grade Two last time.
Good Bye Simon had been as short as 9-1 with Coral but Doumen told the Racing Post: 'Good Bye Simon will not turn out for the Triumph Hurdle.
'I will be running Foreman in the Queen Mother and Moncadou is likely to line up in the Jewson Chase.
'Another possibility is Khazar, but that will depend if he gets into the Fred Winter Novices Hurdle.'
