Aintree On The Agenda For Maze

Asian Maze could run next at Aintree after being ruled out of the Ladbrokes World Hurdle at Cheltenham.

The eight-year-old was due to make a quick return to action in the Grade One heat after finishing seventh behind Sublimity in Tuesday's Champion Hurdle.

However, the mare was feeling the effects of that outing and was not risked in the three-mile contest.

'She's fine ? she's just a bit tired and off her feed,' trainer Tom Mullins said.

'We might go to Aintree with her next if we think she will put in a better performance. She's perfectly sound, though.'

Asian Maze enjoyed one her finest hours at Liverpool last season when making all for an emphatic success over Hardy Eustace in the Aintree Hurdle.
