Mikael a possible for Punchestown on Sunday
Star novice hurdler Mikael D'Haguenent is set to continue his recent good impression when Willie Mullins' gelding may line up in the Abbey Electrical Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle at Punchestown on Sunday.
Mullins stated "I'm thinking strongly of running Mikael D'Haguenet at Punchestown.
"He's in good form and the race should suit him. Running him would also free up things a bit for the Deloitte Hurdle at Leopardstown the following Sunday, when Hurricane Fly or Cousin Vinny could run."
Successful over 2m at Navan in November, Mikael D'Haguenet went on to beat Pandorama by seven lengths in the Grade 1 Barry & Sandra Kelly Memorial Hurdle over 2m4f at Navan, before landing the Grade 2 Goffs Slaney Hurdle over that same trip at Naas this month.
Already unbeaten in three Irish starts, Mikael D'Haguenet is currently second favourite for the Ballymore Properties Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham.
