The latter won at Tramore in April and has been generally consistent since including when fourth over a similar trip at Clonmel on Thursday.

Things weren't working out for him early in the summer when he wasn't getting the rub of the green. We went chasing with him, that didn't work out and for a horse who jumps so well, you'd swear he never saw a fence in his life at Tramore one day. We decided to give him a little break to freshen him up and it worked. The ground is lovely, but is as quick as he wants it. Hopefully there will be another one in him before he gets a break for the winter. He is a small handy horse who is one of the favourites in the yard, is really genuine and a child would ride him.

Mike said he still had every chance the last day and in fairness to the horse he didn't fall, the ground just went from underneath him and it was bottomless heavy that day. We are over the moon with him today and he got a brilliant ride from Mike. He is maturing this season an awful lot. He is a big babyish six-year-old. We will see how he comes out of this before making a plan. He has a nice bit of racing done this season. He might have one more run but we'll have to see. There is a novice handicap chase at Punchestown, but he is only rated 103 so he probably won't get in.

We were thinking he was well handicapped over hurdles for a long time and every day we went out we fancied him, but he has been unlucky. He had won here last year over a similar trip so today's race should have suited. He is a great horse and has now won nine races between the track and point to points. We are very lucky to have him and put the blinkers on him to keep him focusses, but he is genuine. We had two runners in the point to point at Castletown Geoghegan today so my brother Alex went there but unfortunately it didn't work out for him. We have 20 horses in and he is the only one for the track. Hopefully after Christmas some out of our five-year-olds can win point to points.
