Formscan By Tom Weekes - LORD MASSUSUS has dropped down the ratings and it is hoped first-time blinkers can return him to something near his best ability. A Group 3-winner in 2023, the selection gained Listed wins in each of the last two years and while his form has dipped, was rated 107 last March and is now 88. He ran well here in July and drops in grade. Three-time course-and-distance winner Clear Quartz was unsuited by competing over staying distances in recent runs but had run well just last June. Lady Arwen won Mario Kart-style at the festival here in July but steps up in grade. Java Wood is 4lb higher than when scoring at Gowran while lightly-raced Never Loose will appreciate softening ground.
