The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving American In Paris, ridden by R

Whearty, unplaced and Hezahunk, ridden by J. Pietropaolo, unplaced where it appeared R. Whearty rider of American In Paris had to take a check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R. Whearty stated that he was hampered at the furlong pole and had to take a check. J. Pietropaolo stated that his mount hung badly to the right under pressure. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found J. Pietropaolo, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard (first offence), the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving I'm Spartacus, ridden by Adam Caffrey, placed second, Hasiyna, ridden by J.A. Powell, placed fifth and Hezahunk, ridden by J. Pietropaolo, placed sixth, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned

Adam Caffrey stated that he felt pressure from the right. J.A. Powell stated that he felt pressure and had to take a check. J. Pietropaolo stated that he was looking for a gap. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found J. Pietropaolo was in breach of Rule 214, in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record (second offence), the Raceday Stewards suspended him for four racedays

Adam Caffrey, rider of I'm Spartacus, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered at the first bend and hung right in the last furlong. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted

J.A. Powell, rider of Hasiyna, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran short of room at the first bend. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted

R. Whearty, rider of American In Paris, trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered at the furlong pole.
