Grand National winner Rachael Blackmore completed a first four-timer today at Naas, dodging mayhem, and progressing from an unpromising position, to land an incident-packed Mongey Communications Beginners Chase on Mr Incredible (11/10f).

On chase debut and in a field on 18, Mr Incredible was in rear-division when five horses exited at the third fence, deftly jumping over faller Farceur Du Large as that rival got to his feet.

Impeded Limerstone Rock was another to fall at the fence, while Commandingpresence and Fou Diligence were both brought down and Mercury Lane was hampered and forced off course.

Mr Incredible later looked beaten at the third last fence and while Blackmore saved ground on the final bend, the pair were just fourth jumping the last. The Westerner-gelding finished powerfully however, edging past Indiana Jones close home, for a two and a quarter lengths win.

Winning trainer Henry de Bromhead, earlier successful with the Blackmore-partnered Captain Guinness later reported “Rachael said he suddenly took off after the second last. He’s a funny fella at home so we haven’t done much but he would strike me as a stayer.”

“We bought him off Colin Bowe after he was placed in a point-to-point and he came well recommended. Chasing is his game.”

Blackmore, set to be reunited with Champion Hurdler Honeysuckle in the Hatton's Grace Hurdle on November 28, was also successful on a pair of Joseph O'Brien trained, Gigginstown House Stud-owned winners Uhtred and Eric Bloodaxe and was registering a first four-timer.
