Rachael Blackmore was the toast of the holiday crowd after guiding True Faith to victory in the Walter Halley Memorial Beginners Chase at Tramore.

Always towards the head of affairs on the Henry De Bromhead trained gelding, Blackmore led between the final two fences before staying on strongly to record an easy success.

A lightly raced six-year-old, the winner seems suited to summer ground, having gone close on his racecourse debut at Kilbeggan last year.

Sent straight over fences on his seasonal debut in May, the Robcour owned horse has the making of a better chaser than hurdler.

Winning rider Blackmore said; "He is a lovely big horse. He had two good runs over fences and it's great to get his head in front today.

"Hopefully he can progress further, he has taken to chasing well."
