The 5/2 favourite Cherry Blossom capitalised on a drop in class to land the Goffs Irish EBF Polonia Stakes.
A smart juvenile with good form in Pattern company, the daughter of No Nay Never was away smartly and raced in the front rank throughout. Wayne Lordan let her stride on heading to the final furlong and she put the race to bed at that point. She's Quality kept on without threatening in the closing stages but was a length and a half adrift at the line.
Owned by the Coolmore partners, the winner is trained by Aidan O'Brien whose representative Chris Armstrong said: "She had a high rating, had good runs at two and with today's conditions, and the track, everything worked out.
"She is a very quick filly, wants quick ground and five (furlongs).
"It is great to get the Listed win and with the sprint programme in Ireland being tricky , she might have to travel for Group 3s for fillies.
"It's onwards and upwards and that will be a nice confidence booster for her."
