Coviglia sprang a 40/1 shock on his first outing for Charlie Moore when claiming the concluding mile handicap at Dundalk this evening.

The Invincible Spirit gelding won four times for David O'Meara in Britain but his last success came in December 2019 and he had changed yards a couple of times subsequently.

Dylan Browne McMonagle, travelling up for one ride, produced his mount to challenge on the outer passing the two pole.

The grey was in front before the furlong marker and kept on well in the closing stages to post a length victory over Cristal Clere

Moore said: "He was (effective on the all-weather in Britain). He has come back to his form, he had a wee bit of muscle problems but we got it sorted. I knew he was showing me plenty at home.

"The owner Andrew Crawford sent him to me. He is going to send me a few, hopefully after this he will!

"I think he will win again because that is his first run since August. He likes the turf too, we will see how we come out of this race."
