Gordon Elliott reports Brighterdaysahead in fine form ahead of her Champion Hurdle bid in nine days time.
Champion Hurdle Hopes for Brighterdaysahead
The Kapgarde mare notched her fourth top level success when taking the Irish Champion Hurdle at Leopardstown a month ago and she is currently second favourite for the Cheltenham showpiece.
She has been beaten on her two previous visits to Prestbury Park and Elliott admits she has to improve on those showings.
Speaking in an interview at Navan yesterday he said:-
"She's in great form, we worked her during the week.
"She has to improve as she has been to Cheltenham twice before.
"She's not staying at Cheltenham, we are going to stable her in Olly Murphy's."
Wodhooh Targets Mares’ Hurdle Glory
Another leading contender at the festival for the yard is Wodhooh in the Close Brothers Mares’ Hurdle and he said of her:-
"She has only been beaten once before by Lossiemouth so it is interesting to see what she (Lossiemouth) does."
