Five year old entire Giuseppe Cassioli won on his first start for new trainer Ger O'Leary today at Dundalk, landing the Dundalk Winter Series Handicap a month to the day since being bought by current connections.

Purchased for 17,000gns on February 4, the 77-rated son of Bated Breath today recorded a third career win when scoring by half a length, under Bill Lee, from runner-up Acquiescent

Trainer O'Leary later said "we just dropped him back to seven (furlongs), he was showing enough speed at home and they go stronger here that they did in Wolverhampton.

"We just told Colm Sharkey (bloodstock agent) to find us a nice horse and in fairness he's a lovely looking horse and he's a colt. He won it well.

"We'll have a look and see what is in the calendar now, we didn't look beyond today to be honest.

"He'd need good ground on turf, he's a very fine mover. We'll just mind him now."
