Global Energy showed a smart turn of foot to land The Establishment Bar Handicap at Limerick.

The Sheila Lavery trained colt tracked the leaders before bursting through under Ben Coen. He briefly looked in trouble as Prophets Voice challenged down the outside but found plenty for pressure.

Coen was completing a double on the afternoon having won on Dha Leath earlier on.

Sheila Lavery said; "Robbie (Colgan, jockey) said the last day he is still green and the penny hasn't really dropped with fully him. Even though he wasn't placed the last day, he was really pleased with how he ran.

"It is unfortunate on Robbie who injured his ankle schooling young horses in stalls and will be out of action for a few weeks."

She added "hopefully he will improve again and will sharpen up so we could go back in trip as well.

"We'll see what the handicapper does and he got away with that ground as he would like a bit more juice - there are lots of options with him."
