Kinbara looked another nice recruit for John McConnell when staying on strongly to win the Killarney Oaks Hotel INH Flat Race at Killarney.

A point-to-point winner for Stuart Crawford in May, the son of Mahler was subsequently sold to Caroline Ahern. Making his racecourse debut tonight, he travelled nicely throughout in the hands of Ben Harvey, before taking over on the run out of the bottom bend.

Sent for home early in the straight, he galloped all the way to the line to see off the staying on Nottodaybobo The latter, who was making his first appearance under any rules of racing, showed plenty of promise under Harry Swan.

Ben Harvey said; "he is a nice horse, was impressive when he won his point to point and probably has just taken a little time to settle in since he came to us from the sales.

"We haven't overly worked him so weren't 100% sure how good he was but he toughed it out well and will improve a lot with time.

"He is a nice horse to look forward to."
