JP McManus has revealed he is sweet on the chances of Darlan in the opening Supreme Novices Hurdle at Cheltenham today.

Speaking on the Morning Line the leading owner said he would be disappointed if Nicky Henderson's charge didn't run a big race.

The Milan gelding fell when in contention at Newbury last month but had been unbeaten over hurdles previously.

"I like Darlan and the 7-1 William Hill are offering is very generous. I'll be disappointed if he doesn't run a big race," said McManus.

The famous green and gold colours are also set to be carried by Binocular in the Champion Hurdle and McManus reported the 2010 winner in good heart.

"He's here in good form and has had a great preparation, there won't be any excuses should he get beat.

"It's a big ask to beat Hurricane Fly but he's here is good shape."
