NORMAN STORMS TO A TON

Norman Williamson completed a century of winners for the season when Gingembre scored at Doncaster today.

The Lavinia Taylor-trained gelding jumped to the front at the third-last fence in the D.A.D Novices' Chase and galloped on strongly to defeat Chancy Charly.

The jockey has achieved the feat three times in the past but is on course to beat his previous best seasonal total of 130 achieved in 1994/5.

Williamson moved on to the 99-mark with a five-timer at Warwick on Saturday but had to sit out Monday and Tuesday due to suspension.

The Irishman has enjoyed his fair share of big-race victories this season, scoring on The Outback Way in the Murphy's Gold Cup and striking up a successful partnership with Monsignor.
