O'NEILL DENIES MOVE

Jonjo O'Neill has today dismissed speculation that he is set to move stables to Jackdaws Castle.

The trainer, currently based near Penrith, Cumbria, played down talk of the move which had been reported in the Press this morning.

O'Neill said: "I was associated with a move there last season but I honestly don't know anything about what's supposed to be happening now."

O'Neill had been linked to the Cotswolds base last year as a possible replacement for David Nicholson, who retired from training in December with almost 1,500 winners to his name.

Nicholson was replaced by his assistant Alan King until the end of last season before present incumbent Richard Phillips took over the yard.
