Super Over came in for good support in the apprentice rated race at Dundalk and duly collected for trainer Denis Coakley.

Sam Ewing was prominent on the Pearl Secret gelding early before tracking Insomnia after a furlong.

He claimed the front-runner two furlongs from home and the 10/3 shot (11/1 in morning) kept on well in the closing stages to post a length victory over the fast finishing Final Voyage

It was a second win for Super Over since joining Coakley as he had also scored here in October.

Ewing said: "I know he was fifth the time before, but he wasn't beat far.

"I just wanted to make sure there was a nice gallop today which there was. I arrived there in the straight easy and sent him on and he stays well.

"He stays a mile very well, so I was keen to kick on on him."
