The Pat O'Hare Bookmaker Handicap Hurdle produced a satisfying result for the sponsor as 50/1 chance Motion In Limine led on the run-in to score on his handicap debut.

The Court Cave gelding got past fellow outsider She’stherightone in the final hundred yards to win by half a length.

The 6-year-old had finished runner-up in his first outing over hurdles in June.

Winning trainer Willie Murphy said: "I hoped he would run well. He had a very good run at Navan earlier in the summer.

"He really wants quick ground - good, quick ground is key to him. Sligo the last day the ground was gone a bit on him.

"He had always worked well even as a young horse and he has basically been waiting for his ground. There is ability there but he just had no luck as a youngster.

"His first run in a handicap we were a little bit worried, but Simon (Torrens) gave him a brilliant ride and that's the way to ride him.

"I'd say you will see him soon as he likes that ground. we'll run away."
