Cheltenham on agenda for Harchibald
Harchibald could attempt to reclaim the Boylesports.com International at Cheltenham after Noel Meade opted against returning to Britain on Saturday.
Meade brought his popular gelding to Newcastle last weekend in search of a third victory in the WBX.COM "Fighting Fifth" Hurdle but the meeting was lost to the frost and the trainer has decided not to declare him for the rearranged version at Wetherby.
Harchibald was also entered in a mile-and-a-half handicap on the all-weather at Dundalk on Friday but he will not go there either.
"He won't run in either of those races - having been over to Newcastle and back last week we just worried it might take a bit too much out of him to go travelling again," said Meade.
"I'd like to get a bit of work into him this week and he might just go to Cheltenham for the Bula (now Boylesports International) next weekend."
Harchibald and Paul Carberry delivered one of their typically confident performances in the race three years ago, beating Intersky Falcon without much trouble.
