Another Cawley horse bolts in

Eddie Cawley's horses are obviously operating at the peak of their powers right now and after Forever Gold's routing of his Navan opponents last Sunday, stable companion Fruits Of Glory put in a somewhat similar performance in the Clonmel Maiden Hurdle today.

Phillip Enright was patient on the Fruits Of Love gelding, returning off a 110 day break, and the 11/4 second favourite travelled supremely well into contention.

A stumble on the road-way before two out, and a mistake at the last, did nothing to impede his momentum.

At the line Fruits Of Glory was five lengths up on the front-running odds-on favourite Coolbane West

"He can be a bit uptight, and can lose his races beforehand, but he was good today although he could have jumped a little better," reflected Cawley.

"He'll appreciate better ground."

Michael J. Quaid, trainer of Mrs Ding A Ling reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge burst a blood vessel and was pulled up.
