Enda Bolger will run My Hometown and Josies Orders in Punchestown’s PP Hogan Memorial Cross Country Chase before the pair return to Cheltenham in March.

The JP McManus-owned duo finished second and third behind Jamie Snowden’s Fact Of The Matter in a Cross Country chase on Friday at Prestbury Park.

“They came home safe and sound and will be prepared for March — although with that being a conditions race, My Hometown will find it tougher,” said Bolger.

“As they are cross country horses, we just have to follow the races — but they ran well, and the best horse won on the day.

“Mark (Walsh on Josies Orders) said it rode a better race than the November one, and they got him at it earlier, but he was staying on well.

“My Hometown is relatively young and he has taken to it well. I hope he can improve — he’s only eight.

“There’s a cross country race at Punchestown in February, so they’ll go for that as their prep race for March.”
