Jamie Codd announced his retirement from the point-to-point ranks after riding Supreme Gift to victory at Tattersalls today for long-time supporter Denis Murphy.

The Wexford rider began his career 'between the flags' at his local track at Lingstown in 2000.

He has booted home 972 point-to-point winners and is second on the all-time list behind Derek O'Connor.

He was a two-time champion rider in 2014 and 2016.

He will continue to ride at racecourses and has two mounts at Killarney on Monday evening - Its All Guesswork in the hunters' chase and Should've in the bumper.
