Sullane Hill produced a game front-running performance to land the Two-Mile Borris Handicap Hurdle at Thurles.

Ambrose McCurtin bounced out in front on Pat O'Connor's charge and he had a willing partner in the closing stages. Nodoubtaboutthat was driven up to join the front-runner two from home but had cried enough when making an error at the final flight.

12/1 shot (22/1 in morning) Sullane Hill galloped on strongly in the closing stages to post a six length success. Cousin Harry edged Breezy Bell in a tight battle for the runner-up spot.

The winner had been third behind handicap good thing Dreal Deal at Cork on Sunday.

O'Connor was leading up the winner and commented:- "He is owned by the Lucey family in Ballymakeera.

"Christy Lucey, Brid's father, was with me as an owner for 20 odd years and sadly he died unexpectedly in January. I'm thrilled for the family, for Brid and Sean and all of them."
