Leopardstown Racecourse have joined forces with apprentice jockey Siobhan Rutledge in a groundbreaking sponsorship deal for the 2024 season.

The Meath native began her racing career in 2018 having graduated from the RACE Racing Academy and has partnered a total of 73 career winners to date including the 2023 Connacht Oaks aboard Starry Heavens for Jessica Harrington.

She currently rides out for trainers Sheila Lavery and Jessica Harrington as well as long-time supporter John McConnell at his Stamullen base.

Rutledge, who had her first ride at the south County Dublin track, will be sporting the Leopardstown logo on her racewear throughout the year.

“I’m delighted to announce my partnership with Leopardstown Racecourse. I’m incredibly grateful for this amazing sponsorship opportunity and I can’t wait to represent their brand on and off the track,” said Rutledge.

“Their support means a lot to me as it was at Leopardstown itself where I had my first experience of race riding and fell in love with all that the sport has to offer. I’m really looking forward to kicking off this season with Leopardstown’s support behind me.

“I hope we can thrive together and inspire the next generation to pursue their passions fearlessly.”

Leopardstown CEO Tim Husbands said, “We are thrilled to be supporting Siobhan through the 2024 season and following her progress all the way. Siobhan is one of our top female jockeys, and nurturing and supporting that talent is something extremely important to Leopardstown.

“Fostering the visibility of Women in Sport as well as the accessibility of careers within the industry is something we take pride in, and we look forward to being a part of Siobhan’s journey through the summer.”
