The Eyes Have It appreciated the switch to handicap company when opening his account in the Priory Walls Of Kilgowan Handicap at Naas.

The Andy Oliver-trained topweight made steady progress to lead inside the final furlong, and the 6/1 chance kept on well for Connor King to score by a length and a half. Avalanche finished strongly to take the runner-up spot in this seven-furlong event, with the front-running Tribal Path another half a length away in third.

Oliver said, "He's owned by a longstanding patron (Garrett Freyne) and had a few niggling problems but everything has come together. Due to a lack of opportunities we ran him in a maiden last time but he got penalised 9lb for that. Connor gets on well with him.

"He's in again at Navan on Wednesday, and he should be able to handle Dundalk as well."
