Vee Dancer put in good late work to land the conditional jockeys' handicap hurdle over an extended two and a half miles in Huntingdon yesterday for Ronan McNally.

The six-year-old gelding hadn't been placed in eight previous racecourse outings but was a warm order to oblige - 1/2 favourite from a morning price of 7/4.

He ran in snatches and was urged along by Kevin Brogan but really found his stride after the second last to win going away by three lengths.

The son of Morozov holds entries in handicap hurdles at Warwick on Thursday, and Bangor and Doncaster on Friday.
