Pat Murphy registered his second career double at Dundalk tonight as the Co Kilkenny based trainer landed the concluding Crowne Plaza Race & Stay Handicap with May Remain

The son of Mayson was a winner at today's venue on November 1 and while well held on a subsequent start on November 15, tonight regained the winning thread under jockey Gary Halpin with a half length success over A Likely Story

Murphy earlier won with the Gavin Ryan ridden Able Jack and following his second winner, the trainer commented “it's been a great night and he (May Remain) seems to have found himself up here, he likes the all-weather.

“He went close a few times for us on the turf but he seems to have improved a bit on the all-weather and I'm delighted with him.

“He's in again on Wednesday and hopefully he'll run and give a good account of himself again.

“I had a double before a few years ago with No Approval and Koybig and this is great.”
