FormscanBy Tom Weekes - COLREEVY might win the inaugural running of this race. COLREEVY has proven herself at a high level throughout her career and having filled seventh (of 23 runners) and fifth-placings (of 22) in two Festival bumpers, has done well over fences this season, scoring a Grade 1 win at Limerick over Christmas. She has 7lbs to find on adjusted official figures with stablemate Elimay (ridden by JP McManus' retained jockey) but, arguably, COLREEVY has achieved more in her two previous Festival efforts in open company than Elimay's 22L sixth-placing in the Mares Hurdle in 2019. That said, Elimay has done very well over fences this season and there not be much between the pair. Shattered Love won the JLT Novice Chase here in 2018 and while she is a talented type at her best, has won just once since then and is held by Elimay on Naas February form and is today a further 2lbs worse off. Zambella was beaten by Annic Mc (withdrawn from this race on Monday) at Warwick last month and has place claims today while Grand National runner-up Magic Of Light would ideally prefer a longer trip but is another with place claims.
