FormscanBy Gary Carson - This has been the big day in the calendar for HIGH DEFINITION ever since it was decided to skip Epsom with the long-time ante-post favourite for the Derby. He looked rusty on his return at York in mid-May and that was no surprise after he had been forced to miss the Lingfield Derby Trial with unsatisfactory bloods just five days previously. The Galileo colt stayed on well at the finish when third in the Dante having looked in trouble some way out. The form of that race has worked out well with the winner Hurricane Lane, who re-opposes now, third at Epsom subsequently and there looks plenty more to come from High Definition now. The placed horses from Epsom all turn out again here with runner-up Mojo Star, who is still a maiden, bidding to show his effort behind Adayar was no fluke. Mac Swiney was fourth then but trainer Jim Bolger expects a bigger show from his Irish 2,000 Guineas winner back on home soil. He has to be respected but may need more rain.
