FormscanBy Alan Magee - ALBIGNA was one of a group of talented juvenile fillies in the care of Jessica Harrington last season and the daughter of Zoffany was arguably the pick of the bunch. She won three times including the Group 1 Prix Marcel Boussac at Longchamp and had excuses for a couple of defeats including when found to be in season after the Moyglare Stud Stakes. The selection has reportedly done well over the winter and Shane Foley could hardly contain his excitement when discussing her prospects this week. Aidan O’Brien is always to be feared when analysing the classics and the master of Ballydoyle is seeking a ninth win in the race. Peaceful progressed nicely in three outings and signed off with a close second in a Listed race at Newmarket. So Wonderful has probably achieved more on paper despite being still a maiden after eight starts and didn’t enjoy the clearest of passages when a highly creditable third to Love in the Moyglare. There are plenty in the line-up with scope for improvement including Roca Roma and Ridenza, who met a setback after a winning debut at Leopardstown.
For three years old fillies only
