FormscanBy Donal Murphy - ART POWER has run eight times since his last win in July of 2020. Six of those efforts have been at the highest level, with the remaining two in Group 2 company. He drops down now to a Group 3 and should appreciate this 'easier' opportunity. The Tim Easterby grey is a likeable sort and has hardly run a bad race in his career to date. He was beaten by just over a length-and-a-half when fifth in the Group 1 Betfair Sprint Cup Stakes at Haydock earlier this month. Twilight Spinner and Stormy Girl are interesting contenders, as they both make their debut for Joseph O'Brien and Paddy Twomey respectively. The former was an easy winner of a Listed contest on heavy ground at Haydock in May and she is tried in a tongue-strap for the first time here. Stormy Girl won a Listed contest at Pontefract in August of last year and had her last run the following month. She was since purchased by Paddy Twomey for 310,000 pounds at Tattersalls in December. Measure Of Magic has been disappointing since finishing third in the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot and she will need to bounce back to form if she is to feature here. Speak In Colours won this race in 2019 but has struggled so far this season. Power Under Me has been knocking on the door of late and is capable of making his presence felt, while the remaining three runners look up against it.
