FormscanBy Mark Nunan - Former Flat winner SEMPRE PRESTO was let down by her jumping last time, but her first two runs this year were creditable and she has her chance in what looks an ordinary maiden. The Nathaniel mare wasn’t beaten far when fourth in maidens here and at Wexford, and her mark of 108 entitles her to respect in this company. Dark Spark, having his second start for Michael Winters, was a wide-margin bumper winner on debut at Kilbeggan last year and ran even better when third in a strong winners’ event at Punchestown next time. He’d been off for six months prior to finishing fourth on his first start over hurdles at Tipperary, and is likely to improve plenty for that outing. Heronord stepped up on previous efforts when second at Tramore and is another to consider along with Ruleout who was third on hurdles bow at Sligo.
