FormscanBy Alan Magee - JOHN ADAMS gets the vote despite failing to complete on three of his last four starts. The Presenting half-brother to Grade 1 winner Next Destination won a 3m1f Sligo maiden hurdle last summer but it’s his penultimate start here in an 18-runner 3m1f handicap chase that really catches the eye. The Colin Bowe-trained gelding made most of the running and generally jumped well until exiting at the last when still holding a slight lead. That enabled Glenquin Castle to record an amazing seventh successive handicap win with Exit To The West close-up in second. The latter was found to have pulled a shoe when disappointing subsequently over hurdles. Glenloe shaped well on his second start after a lengthy lay-off when fourth to Spyglass Hill at the Limerick Christmas meeting and is certainly a threat to all.
