Permission was given for Dingwall (GB) to go early to post and for Eden Storm (IRE) to go early to post, to be mounted in the chute and to wear a red hood to the start.

Dingwall (GB), trained by Iain Jardine, ran the previous day, 24 November 2025, at Wolverhampton, finishing first of eight runners.

Having been examined by the Veterinary Officer, the gelding was deemed fit to race.

The Stewards opened an enquiry into the unseating of both Mr Harry Swan, the rider of Eden Storm (IRE) and Mr James Hills, the rider of Sceptic (IRE).

They heard evidence from Mr Hills, Miss Hope Regan, the rider of King Of Speed (IRE), placed fifth, Mr Eireann Cagney, the rider of Port Noir (GB), unplaced, and Miss Clara Brewitt, the rider of Bitcoin Profit (IRE), unplaced.

Being 7lb claiming amateur riders, Regan, Hills and Brewitt were accompanied by senior riders.

As Mr Swan was unavailable due to requiring medical attention, the Stewards adjourned their enquiry to a date to be confirmed.

An enquiry was held following a report from the Veterinary Officer, that the winner, Dingwall (GB), trained by Iain Jardine, appeared to have run in an unapproved hood.

The representative of Jardine and the Veterinary Officer were interviewed.

After hearing the evidence, a report was forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for further consideration.

It was noted that turning in, Marion's Boy (IRE), unplaced, was badly hampered by a riderless horse.

Following the race, Mr Eireann Cagney reported that Port Noir (GB), unplaced, suffered interference turning in.
