Cork Sat, 30th Mar, 2024  Independent Expert She has a new owner and Mick (Walsh) is the farrier here at the racecourse. Mick has a few with us this year and this is our first winner together. She was unlucky a few times last year and it was a nice race and setup for her today. She goes on any ground and will get 1m2f on better ground but the testing ground made up the difference (over 7f) today. We had her in the Lincoln but she was out of the handicap so we said we'd come here instead. We'll give three weeks now after this first run and hopefully she will get into those better handicaps now.

Cork Sat, 30th Mar, 2024  Independent Expert If I have a Group 1 horse, this is it. I knew she'd improve from today but we can't get her off the bridle and she was only half-speeding. I'd say she will improve a lot and hopefully we are heading for Royal Ascot. I never had a horse like her to pull away from horses so easily and that's how she initially got her name - everything was easy for her. I'm going to keep her to five or six furlongs as she has so much pace and talent. Both Group 1 sprint races at Royal Ascot would be the plan along with the Flying Five Stakes at the Curragh. she is back from injury so hopefully we can keep her sound. I got her back last July but we had a bit of patching up to do with her. She had knee problems so had to go for an operation. She is in training a long time before today but had no hard gallops done with her. She will go on any ground and she is exciting.

Dundalk Fri, 8th Mar, 2024  Hurricane Helen She loves it up here, she likes that surface. She was a little bit unlucky the last day, she just kind of got stopped at a bad time. Robert (Whearty) felt if he had got a clearer run, he would have got there. Look that's racing, you need luck around here. Colin was happy with her, he thought she travelled around well and picked up well. We've had a lot of luck with Colin. She probably needs a smoother run through her race, she didn't get stopped at all and went up the inner. There's not really a race for her on All-Weather Finals Day at Lingfield - there's only a seven-furlong race she could run in there and it might be a bit sharp for her, but we'll sit down and give it some thought.

Dundalk Fri, 8th Dec, 2023  Hurricane Helen That's her first run for us, so we are still learning about her. I didn't buy her, the owners sent her to me. She has settled into the yard well and into our routine. We've had her for probably six to eight weeks. She has been working well, her work has been good, but I think it was an ordinary kind of race. It might be good for her confidence to get her head in front. I don't know if there is anything for her before Christmas, but we'll freshen her up (for the new year). Colin said she would have no bother going up in trip either. She might be versatile that way.
