Formscan By Tom Weekes - LADY BREFFNI can gain a deserved first hurdles win. A point-to-point winner on debut for Dermot McLoughlin, she showed smart ability when trained by Joseph O'Brien and finished last season with a second placing in a Limerick Grade 3 novice. She showed roughly that same ability on her debut for Willie Mullins when fourth in a valuable handicap at Navan last month and while the drop to 2m4f isn't ideal, it nonetheless shouldn't pose much of a problem. Humble Glory failed to win in two point-to-point starts but did win a bumper at Punchestown last month and her previous jumping experience will stand to her on hurdles debut here. She might struggle to beat the selection but is proven on testing ground and is a useful type. The Getaway Star was placed at Listed level in a Bumper and has her chance with a rating of 123. Her latest two defeats came in maiden hurdles but she should get involved here, albeit might bump into one or two too strong.
