Formscan By Mark Nunan - JACKMOON had some good bumper form early in his career and has been consistent of late over hurdles. Touched off in a maiden at Cork in April, he was placed in a 3m handicap last time and just needs to find a little more to record a first win. With a recent comeback run under his belt, William Tell, who represents an in-form yard, could be a danger. He won twice last year and the way he stayed an extended 2m6f at Thurles suggests that this trip will hold no fears for him. we knew he was a jumper and ran him in a bumper hoping we might get away with it, but it turned into a sprint. Jack said it was a good performance today and he hit the line well. It might not have been the strongest race, but he couldn’t have done any more than he did. He jumped great and Ray Stokes is a great supporter of the yard so I’m very happy.

He goes well and point-to-pointing didn't really suit him, although he was unlucky not to win the first day. He was impressive in Cork, we gave him a break and came back here. On work Nelson Muntz (stablemate, third) is better but the winner is a fair horse who also has a lot of boot and isn't slow. He is a promising horse and will interesting going forwards. He is a fine big horse so going over fences will be his thing although we'll keep him to hurdling this season if he isn't sold. We'll see what the handicapper does. Nelson Muntz ran alright but caught further back than he wanted and Sean (Flanagan, jockey) said he was sluggish early on in the race.

Things weren't working out for him early in the summer when he wasn't getting the rub of the green. We went chasing with him, that didn't work out and for a horse who jumps so well, you'd swear he never saw a fence in his life at Tramore one day. We decided to give him a little break to freshen him up and it worked. The ground is lovely, but is as quick as he wants it. Hopefully there will be another one in him before he gets a break for the winter. He is a small handy horse who is one of the favourites in the yard, is really genuine and a child would ride him.

He’s just changed inside out this year, it’s brilliant. Eoin gave him a brilliant ride. I’m so happy for the owner Jules Sigler, if he wasn’t on board with me I would have been gone long ago. He’s got three horses with me all the time and he’s been a great supporter. He’s a gorgeous horse and he deserves that. I thought he was a mudlark but it shows that sort of ground is perfect for him.
