The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Limestone, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, placed first and Mr Vettori, ridden by S. Foley, placed second, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.M. Sheridan stated that as he went for a fresh hold his mount leaned left but that no contact was made and felt that his mount was going away at the line. S
Foley stated that no contact was made but that he suffered intimidation and felt it had cost him the race. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alteration to the judge's placings and were satisfied that no further action was warranted
J.M. Sheridan, rider of Limestone, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned left in the last one hundred yards.
