Permission was given for Happy Chandler (GB) to go early to post wearing a red hood and for Beautiful Dawn (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
The winner, Mwafaq (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Redcar on 24 September 2025 where the gelding finished last of eleven runners, beaten by 5 lengths.
It was noted that Richard Fahey’s representative could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form.
Mwafaq (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Hollie Doyle reported that Blue Seeker (IRE), unplaced, hung right-handed; Kaiya Fraser reported that Reputation (IRE), placed fourth, was slowly away and William Cox reported that Invincible Storm (IRE), unplaced, ran too free.
