The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Kilbarry Alexy trained by C. O'Keeffe had blood at both nostrils post race

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident turning into the straight involving Moonverrin, ridden by Mr P.A

King, Owning Flower, ridden by Mr P.W. Mullins, and Kilbarry Alexy, ridden by E. Staples, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr M.J. Walsh, rider of Dlightofdsun, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who said it was only his second ride and he didn't realise he was out of contention. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied the rider was in breach of R10.3(b)(out of contention) and having considered his clean record, they suspended him for two racedays

C. O'Keeffe, trainer of Kilbarry Alexy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge burst a blood vessel

Riders - Qualified Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules. Professional Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules (other than Apprentices) who have not lost the right to claim the 7lb allowance under Rule 52 (up to and including 30th December) may also ride in this race.
