The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales that Kevin Healy, rider of Milan Forth, had presented to weigh out at three pounds overweight, none of which had been declared at declaration time. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he has recently been suspended and thought he would be able to do the weight but was unable to lose the necessary weight. He added that Milan Forth is a family owned horse

Evidence was also heard from Simon Cavanagh, Trainer of Milan Forth, who stated that he was happy for Kevin Healy to ride the horse despite the overweight. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards, pursuant to the provisions of Rule 198(vii)(b), allowed the rider take up the ride on this occasion. They were, however, satisfied that Kevin Healy was in breach of Rule 195(i)(b) and Rule 198 (vii)(b) and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards fined Kevin Healy €150 on this occasion.

An extended handicap steeplechase for five years old and upwards that at entry have run at least four times in steeplechases (145 = 11st 12lbs)
Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase or steeplechases after calculation of the handicap shall carry any penalty or penalties which may be allotted by the Handicapper.
